The Labo Progressive Multi-Purpose Cooperative (LPMPC) participated in the 4th Grand Santa Cruzan and Flores de Mayo in the province of Camarines Norte held from March to May 2008. Aside from sending a representative for the Santa Cruzan, LPMPC  support the coop candidate in all activities from presentation up to Grand Santa Cruzan procession.

Since this Santa Cruzan was done through a popularity contest, participants were expected to solicit funds intended for the care of the elderly and sick priests of the Diocese of Daet. Mrs. Agnes Diezmo Ang, “Mutyang Ginang ng Parokya ng San Pedro Apostol of Vinzons, Camarines Norte,” bested 32 other Camarines Norte parish and sectoral representatives for gathering a total of 1,000,700 votes hence she was chosen as Reyna Elena. Meanwhile, Mrs. Alita D. Rafer, LPMPC’s representative and also known as “Mutyang Ginang ng Cooperatiba,” was chosen as Reyna Dela Familia as she was able to produce 35,336 votes.

The Santa Cruzan Coronation Rites was done at the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity last May 23, 2008 while the SantaCruzan Procession was on May 24, 2008.

This Santa Crusan celebration which started the proclamation of the Dogma of the Immaculate Concepcion in 1854.  This continues until now.
