Four representatives from United Kingdom’s Fair Trade Community visited Labo Progressive MP Cooperative last May 1-3, 2008 as part of their “Meet the People Tours”. They came to Labo Coop to asses the impact of coop livelihood projects to the members in community and to determine if the farmers’ income is enough to send their children to school. They also visited hand scrapers of Brgy. Mabilo I, Knotters from Labo Jail Inmates and Inmates of BJMP Daet district to see other development organizations, communities, and enterprises that are into pineapple cloth production actually made the products, more importantly the people behind the production.
